Our Programs

We offer various programs for children aged between 6 weeks and 12 years and more details of each program can be obtained by clicking on the appropriate link "bold blue link” below.

Strawberry ECDC and its entire staff operate under the principles of the Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment as developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Strawberry ECDC is a “Nut Free center”. For the health and safety of our children and staff we request that you do not bring in any type of nuts or nut products as food for your children. We have several children and staff who are severely allergic to nuts.

Infants

ages 6 weeks through 18 months

  • Provide safe opportunities for infants to explore their environments through play.

  • Infants use all their senses to explore and we ensure the collection and sanitization of mouthed toys and materials on a frequent basis.

  • Focus on cognitive and motor skills through playtime, toys and art materials.

  • From observation, develop individual routines and experiences to encourage each child’s development.

  • Daily communication between parents and teachers to keep you informed.

Toddlers

ages 18 months through 3 years

  • Provide many rich language experiences throughout the day, by describing what is happening, asking questions, singing and reading.

  • Allow children time to develop and practice new skills.

  • Ask open ended questions to encourage children’s thinking.

  • Provide opportunities for toddlers to make choices and rise to challenges.

  • Daily communication between parents and teachers to keep you informed.

Pre-K3

ages 3 years through 4 years

  • Daily small-group and one-on-one activities which promote skill development.

  • We provide a loving and nurturing environment for children to learn through play.

  • Age appropriate opportunities which foster confidence, self-esteem and independence.

  • A variety of activities that support learning concepts for this age group.

  • Daily communication between teachers and parents to keep you informed about your child’s day.

Pre-K4

ages 4 years through 5 years

  • A curriculum based on effective, evidence-based practices in early literacy and emergent reading instruction.

  • Projects and play that enhance creative and critical thinking.

  • Appropriate furniture, supplies and materials which meet the social, cognitive, linguistic, emotional, physical and creative needs of the age group.

  • Daily communication between teachers and parents to keep you informed about your child’s day.

Before and After School Care

Big Apples program
